Centre for Advances in Reliability and Safety Limited (CAiRS), initiated by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, is established in 2020 with its operation located in the Hong Kong Science Park, New Territories, Hong Kong. The mission of CAiRS is to bridge academic and industrial counterparts to introduce and implement artificial intelligence methods and prognostic techniques to advance reliability and safety. The goal of the Centre is to improve reliability and safety of critical components and devices, products, systems and sub-systems designed, commissioned and/or manufactured by Hong Kong companies and enterprises. Technical Marketing Engineer Intern (Ref. No.: CAiRS-TMAEI)


Duties

The appointee will report to the Marketing Manager and perform marketing functions with technical research work at the Centre, and will be required to:

  1. Provide daily project supports to the marketing department
  2. Assist team members to edit marketing materials, including presentations, magazines and newsletters.
  3. Contribute to survey current/latest research publications and technology development;
  4. Assist in image/anomaly data collection, analysis, and interpretation;
  5. Involve in developing the AI models and conduct experiments with assigned team(s);
  6. Other assigned research work by Marketing Manager and Senior Staff of Marketing Team.
  7. Provide support on ad-hoc assignments when required

Qualifications

Applicants should have/ be:

  1. Bachelor’s degree, preferably with marketing, technical, and/or currently pursuing engineering degree in Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline;
  2. basic knowledge of data analysis. machine/deep learning applied research, python programming;\
  3. Minimum 3-year relevant experience is preferred
  4. Good written and verbal communication skills in English, Chinese and Putonghua
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms
  6. Project management experience will be an added advantage
  7. Good in PC knowledge in design software & digital marketing is a plus
